Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin was born in Wellington, Manitoba. She grew up there. She made her acting debut as Flora McGrath, The romantic-drama film Piano. Paquin is a native of Winnipeg, raised in Wellington and made her debut in the role of Flora McGrath when she played the role in The Piano. She won an Academy Award at the age of 11 years old for Best Actress Supporting Actress. Anna Paquin's full name was Anna Helene Paquin. Born on the 24th of July, 1982 in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada, she was an Canadian birthed New Zealand actress. As an infant, she won her the Academy Award for best support actress. Paquin moved to New Zealand from Canada as young girl, and then grew up there. After she responded to an audition call to play the character, she got it as Flora McGrath, the daughter of a deaf Scottish pianist who relocates from Scotland to New Zealand in mid-19th-century to get married. She was only nine and had no previous experience as an actor. As a teenager, her family moved from Canadian to United States. Paquin made her debut as a child with a character in the Jane Eyre protagonist in the Franco Zeffirelli novel Jane Eyre followed by she played a significant role of Fly Away Home. Paquin was in the role of Frankie Addams, a character in Carson McCullers' novel The Member of the Wedding in 1997. In Steven Spielberg's Amistad in 1997, she played the queen of Spain in a less prominent character. She portrayed teenagers on Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (2000), A Walk on the Moon (2000). In addition, she was the character of the teenage groupie Polexia Aphrodisa on Almost Famous (2000).
