Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington is a Greek American author syndicated columnist and businesswoman. She is a founder of The Huffington Post and the chief executive officer of Thrive Global. Author of fifteen books. Arianna Huffington is an author TV personality, philanthropist, and owner of the independently liberal online news magazine The Huffington Post. She was born in Greece and relocated to England when she was sixteen. When she attended Cambridge University, she graduated with a MA in economics. The well-known debating club The Cambridge Union was her first presidency and she did it before the age of 21. After her graduation, she became an influential conservative syndicated journalist. In the years later, she founded The Huffington Post which featured critiques of the current politics. In part, her fame led to the recruitment of a variety of renowned contributors. Arianna's fame began in 2003, when she became an independent candidate in the California recall vote in order to replace then-Governor Davis. Alongside that, she led an initiative in Detroit initiative to promote fuel-efficient automobiles. Forbes named her one of the "most important female" within the field of media and ranked her 12th. Guardian placed her on their list of 100 top media personalities in 2009. AOL Inc. bought The Huffington Post, and she was named president of this media group. The acquisition included a number of AOL products at the time like Engadget AOL style list and Patch Media. Elli Stasinopoulos is the daughter of Konstantinos an advisor to management and a journalist. Although she had a close connection to both her father and mother, it was their bond that shaped her. At an early age, she displayed leadership qualities that are still highly regarded. When she was 16, she moved from America to the United Kingdom and enrolled Girton College Cambridge. While in college she joined the debating society Cambridge Union where she became the third foreign, and first female president. She graduated in 1972 with a degree in Economics. She became a writer, a critic television host, and columnist upon her graduation. Also, with Bernard Levin she appeared on an episode of Face the music.
