Taylor
Taylor Swift, the rarest pop sensation, is one who was able to transcend over from country music to mainstream pop culture and become an icon of the pop culture. She also conquered the entire globe in the process. Swift has shed her country roots as if they were second skins revealing herself to be the most savvy pop singer/songwriter in her generation. She is able to take the zeitgeist of today and create her own. Swift's early hits, especially her neo celebration of Tim McGraw, showed off the talents of her. But her 2008 album Fearless revealed a songwriter who was beginning to discover herself, and gaining a huge following. Fearless became hugely popular not only in the US with it's Top Ten singles Love Story as well as You Belong with Me helped it to record six platinum albums but also around the world. It performed particularly well in Canada, Australia and the U.K. Swift soared to the top of the charts after the release of Speak Now. Over the next three years, her popularity was growing through the years -the albums - Red (2012), Reputation (2014) as well as 1989 (2014-2015) during which time Swift entered the world of pop music in which her talent was already well established. The popularity of her music grew after she reformulated her approach in 2020's more streamlined siblings folklore (and Evermore) and stayed atop of the pop world.
